The first few years of your child’s life are downright magical. It seems like every day, they’re growing and discovering something brand new. While it can be amazing to see the moments firsthand, these years tend to be a little isolating for parents. It feels like you spend every hour dreaming of adult interaction. If you’re feeling a little restless, enrolling in a mommy-and-me class is the perfect solution. Not only do they give your child a brand new way to learn, but they also provide you with the opportunity to connect with other local parents. Here are some of my favorite Dallas mommy and me classes!
Maximize Learning & Bonding in Dallas Mommy & Me Classes
BamiYoga is a fitness course that lets you get in tune with your postpartum body. The studio offers yoga classes that let you bring your baby and stretch alongside other new parents. You’ll walk through moves designed to rebuild the strength that can get lost throughout pregnancy and labor. The studio lets you grab a blanket and let your baby relax while you get in a great workout.
Music is one of the best ways to kickstart your child’s education. At Backyard Music class, your child will sing songs and dance while learning more about the world around them. The courses are offered by the semester, so you can enroll your child for a set number of classes. The center does ask that you purchase instruments beforehand (their website tells you exactly what you need).
Kiddie Kraft Preschool invites you to participate in your child’s early education actively. The preschool offers Parents and Me classes starting with infancy. You’ll work alongside your child as they complete crafts, play music, listen to stories, and do sensory exploration with these Dallas mommy and me classes.
FIT4MOM is an ingenious workout group dedicated to helping you prioritize your fitness while keeping your baby by your side. The group makes workouts accessible with activities, including their famous Stroller Strides. Their prenatal classes allow you to get started before your baby arrives, and their Body Well courses and group events let you leave your baby with a caregiver and workout with other local moms.
Who doesn’t love a good petting zoo?! The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden lets your family hang out with some adorable animals while singing and listening to music. The event lasts for several hours, allowing you to drop in whenever it’s most convenient, and admission is included with purchasing a garden ticket or membership.
