When Catalina Gonzalez Jorba had her first child, she felt something was missing. Like most new moms, she found herself wholly enraptured with parenthood, but she still needed an outlet for herself. The Colombia native wanted to create something she could manage from home while giving back to the communities that had shaped her.
She opened Dondolo, which quickly grew bigger than she could have ever dreamed. The luxury lifestyle brand sells pieces that are made by mothers in Colombia. The sales from the store go toward nonprofit organizations across Dallas. Since opening the shop, Catalina has been featured in Southern Living, Forbes, Byrdie, and Marie Claire.
